Purrs and Pampering Terms and Conditions

All booking are subject to the following terms and conditions

Within the terms and conditions all references to “You” or “Your” relate to the owner or responsible Person of the cat. All References to “I”, or “Me” relate to Purrs and Pampering. 

 

Matts close to the cat’s skin. 

Please note that at present I cannot remove fur matts that are close to the cat’s skin. I am planning on offering this service in the future.  If when I assess the cat at the start of the grooming process and find matts that I am unable to deal I will have to cancel the groom.  This will result in non return of the deposit but you will not be charged the full groom price. 

 Quotes 

A quote of the cost of groom will be made at the point of booking based on the information that you provide.   The cost may change when the cat is assessed as the start of the grooming process based on the condition of the cat or the behaviour of the cat.   

 Deposit 

On booking the appointment a deposit of £10.00 is required with the remaining payment required on the same day that the grooming occurs.  Accepted methods of payment.  Bank transfer to business account in the name of Purrs and Pampering, cash or cheque.  Card payment via a card machine will be available in the near future. 

 Travel Fees 

A travel fee may be added to the quoted price depending on your location, this will be discussed prior to any booking being made 

 Cat health/behaviour 

You will need to complete a short form either by email at the point of booking the cat’s first appointment or on paper on my arrival to your property.  This needs to be completed with accurate information in regards any known health condition of the cat, in regards to the cat’s behaviour and any previous grooming experience.   

 Reasons for grooming appointment not being able to proceed

 If on my arrival you do not answer the door in a timely fashion and do not answer the phone of any contact information I have. The deposit and any travel costs would not be returned due to the costs already incurred. 

If you cat cannot be found within 15 minutes of my arrival time, the groom will have to be cancelled. The deposit and any travel costs would not be returned due to the costs already incurred. 

It is important that any flea infestations are treated prior to any grooming appointment.  This is to prevent the spread of any fleas between home visits.  If you are struggling with fleas please discuss this prior to booking any appointment.  If fleas are found on the cat I will need to cancel the visit.  The deposit and any travel costs would not be returned due to the costs already incurred. 

If anyone smokes in the property.  I would ask you to not smoke in the property for an hour prior to my arrival and air the room that you are planning to have the cat groomed in. please keep in mind that although the groom is happening in your home it is at that time my place of work.  I reserve the right to cancel the groom due to smoke. The deposit and any travel costs would not be returned due to the costs already incurred. 

 During the groom 

I would advise a room that can be secured to the rest of the property with doors and no places where your cat can easily hide.   The room needs good lighting with enough room for a grooming table.  I may also use the floor to groom your cat.  A kitchen or a bathroom can work well.  I reserve the right to stop the groom before completion due to your cat becoming stressed, aggressive or showing unwanted behaviour.   This is to prevent any injury to your cat or myself.  I may at times ask for your help in holding your cat to assist in the groom,  you are allowed to refuse to do this.  Sometimes the groom may have to occur over a few visits, part payment of the price of the groom would be expected at each visit,  if multiple visits are required this may result in additional costs to you but would be discussed at the time.  Sometimes it is not possible to groom a cat and sedation at a vet’s maybe advised. 

 Photo’s social media

Photo’s of your cat before and after grooming may be used on social media etc.  This would include your cat’s name but would not include any information about yourself or your location.  If you do not want photo’s of your cat to be used please state this at the time of booking.   

 Insurance  

I am insured to provide a mobile cat grooming service by Pet Business Insurance,  a copy of the certificate can be provided if requested. 

 GDPR Statement 

My work requires me to store a limited amount of your pet’s information and your personal information for company record keeping and to be able to provide a service to you.   

This information will be stored in accordance with all relevant legislation in England.  You have the right to request and review any of your personal information we hold on our system which can be requested by emailing meow@purrsandpamering.co.uk
